Apple laptops are safer to use as they are less likely to be infected by viruses. Apple is also a premium brand. The cheapest brand new mac you can get at any time is worth almost 50k. . Because it's a premium brand, the prices of apple laptops don't depreciate as quickly. It won't lose that much value if you ever need to sell it a year or two from now. Of course they also make you look good in coffee shops :)
The black macbook is rarer and was sold at a higher price than the white macbook when it was first released.
